Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Our Group Trips (the “Service”) at ourgrouptrips.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account.

2. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful or unlawful content, spam or harass other people, add people’s contact details without a legitimate reason to invite them, try to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or access data you are not authorized to see. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms.

3. Premium subscriptions

Core planning features are free. Premium is an optional paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We will give reasonable advance notice of price or plan changes.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add (trips, messages, images, and so on). You give us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content only to operate the Service and to share it with the members of your trips. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to share information about other people you add, such as contacts or family members.

5. AI features

The AI assistant, itineraries, and deal suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are not professional travel, financial, or legal advice. Always check prices, availability, and details before booking or relying on them.

6. Expenses are a tracking tool, not payments

Expense splitting helps you record who paid and who owes what. The Service does not move, hold, or process money between members. Any actual payments happen directly between the people involved.

7. Third-party sites

The Service may link to third-party sites, such as booking or listing pages. We don’t control them and are not responsible for their content or for any transactions you make with them.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Our Group Trips is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.

11. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which the operator of Our Group Trips resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms; we will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.
